Academy Of Friends is the most fabulous Awards Night celebrations outside of L.A. and one of the largest contributors to Bay Area HIV/AIDS service organizations.

Project:
Concept, Graphic, Web & Interface Design, Coordination.
In 1997 the AOF web site was a mere dozen static pages. I was asked to develop a full e-commerce solution to help the organisation meet its goals.

The project consisted of building a web site to promote the main event (The Oscar Night Gala) and allow online ordering of tickets with sales monitoring and report generation for the staff. I worked closely with the programmers at EC Computer Services (database), the free-lance graphic artist and the coordinator at AOF.

An online auction was set up and that first year raised more than US$30,000.

Status:
The contract was reconducted in 1998 and 1999. In 2000 a new design team was brought in and I was in charge of compatibility with the back-end previously developed. As of 2004, AOF is still using the system I put in place for their online store.
